Debbie Hogan, Managing Director

Debbie has a BS in Psychology and an MS in Counselling and is a Board Certified Professional Counselor with the American Psychotherapy Association. She is a Certified Coach and member of the International Coach Federation and has over 26 years of experience as a psychotherapist, trainer, coach and supervisor. In her private practice, she works with families, couples and individuals, and sees children and adolescents with a variety of issues. She conducts training for local and international schools and works with parents and children on school based issues. Debbie is an EAP provider for several multi-national companies and provides coaching and training for leaders, managers and executives. Some of her corporate clients have included Boeing, BHP Bullitin, Caltex, Union Carbide, Smith & Nephew, Proctor & Gamble and On-Semiconductor. She has a Graduate Diploma in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist and Coach. She is a Clinical Supervisor and Examiner with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification. Debbie is the Managing Director and co-founder of the Academy of Solution Focused Training and conducts training in the solution focused model in Singapore, the region and in the United States. She is a founding member of the International Alliance of Solution Focused Teaching Institutes and a member of the Association for Quality Development in Solution Focused Consultancy and Training. She has been interviewed on the radio and has contributed to numerous magazine articles and book chapters, including The Art of Solution Focused Therapy, A Cup of Tea For The Heart, a book on adoption and is currently writing "Solution Stories from Asia."

Dave has a BS in French and a Masters in Theology and Counseling. He has over 26 years experience as a counselor, coach and

trainer and specializes in Leadership and Personal Development and Career Guidance. Dave is a trainer and qualified user of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and conducts workshops for organizations in Team Building, Leadership Coaching, Career Development and Change Management. He is a resource speaker and presenter for the Centre for Fathering and conducts workshops in Marriage Enrichment and Parenting. Dave is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist and Coach, and an Approved Supervisor with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification. He is a Director of the Academy of Solution Focused Training and conducts training in the solution focused model in Singapore and the region. He works extensively with local and international schools training teachers and educators. His current book project, Solution Stories from Asia, is a collection of hope-inspiring stories from solution focused practitioners from the region.

Edwin Choy, Associate, Supervisor, CCPC

Edwin has a Masters in Theology, a Graduate Certificate in Marriage & Family Therapy and and has over 20 years experience as a trainer and pastoral counselor. He is a qualified trainer with the National Center for Fathering in the US and co-founder and Director of the Centre for Fathering in Singapore. He conducts workshops in Preparing for Marriage, Marriage Enrichment, Parenting, Fathering and Work-Life Balance. Edwin has also been a pioneer in designing outdoor adventure camps for father-child bonding. He is a qualified user and trainer in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, PREP and Couples Communication I & II. He has a Graduate Certificate in Parent Education Leadership Training and is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist and Supervisor with the CCPC.

Lilian Ing, Associate

Lilian has a BA in Psychology and an MA in Clinical Psychology and holds a Marketing Management Certificate and certificates in Adoption and Attachment Organisational and Social Development. She has lived and worked internationally and has expertise in the assessment and development of individuals and organizations, including employee engagement, employer branding, communication and change strategies, Vision and Values development, culture mapping and development, organisation design, valuing and managing for diversity, talent and leadership development, executive coaching and training and supervision. Lilian works part time as a Senior Counsellor at Nationa l University of Singapore and is also in private practice and works with individuals, couples and children and is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist & Coach with the CCPC.

David Blakely, Associate, Supervisor, MA, NCC,

David has a BS in Criminal Justice, a Masters in Counselling, a Certified Gambling Addictions Counsellor and is a National Certified Counsellor with the National Board of Certified Counsellors. He works as a Marriage and Family Therapist for Wesley Methodist Church with individuals, families and couples in school based counselling, career guidance and various testing instruments. He has over 15 years experience as a therapist and trainer and currently serves as President of the Singapore Association for Counselling. David is a Certified Social Work Supervisor and has published “Establishing the Building Blocks: A Few Ideas at Increased Effectiveness with Men in Counselling” and “Hedges and Edges: A Compendium for Social Workers, Counsellors and Family Therapists.” He is an Associate of the Academy of Solution Focused Training and is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist and Approved Supervisor with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification.

Alan Yeo, Associate, Supervisor, CCPC,

Alan is a Registered Counselor with the Singapore Association for Counselling and a Certified Solution Focused Therapist and Coach, and Clinical Supervisor with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification. He has a Masters in Experimental Psychology and a Masters in Education. He holds a Specialist Diploma in Counselling and Guidance, a Post Graduate Diploma in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and an Advanced Certificate in Ericksonian Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy. Alan is in private practice, Balanced Consulting, and works part time for Nanyang Techinological University as a Staff Counsellor. He is a lecturer and clinical supervisor for several universities and graduate counselling programmes.
