Debbie Hogan is a psychotherapist and trainer and has over 25 years experience in the mental health field. She holds
a BS degree in Psychology and an MS degree in Counseling. She is a Board Certified Professional Counselor with the
American Psychotherapy Association, is a Certified Therapist and Certified Coach and a Registered Member of the
Singapore Association of Counselling. She has an Advanced Certificate in Ericksonian Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy.
For seven years, Debbie worked in community mental health centers and psychiatric facilities in the United States, working
with schizophrenia, bi-polar disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders and other psychiatric conditions. She also was the
director of an Acute Psychiatric Crisis Unit and served as a consultant to local and state psychiatric hospitals working with
an inter-disciplinary team in discharge planning and outpatient treatment.
Debbie has been in Private Practice, Growth Resources Counseling, since 1993, working in Singapore and the region.
Her specializations are in the areas of Family and Couples Therapy, Relocation and Transition, Trauma and Grief, and
School-based issues. She works with adults and children of all ages. Debbie has worked with a variety of issues, including
depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, trauma, sexual abuse, adoption issues, relationship issues and parenting issues.
She is a Parent Effectiveness Trainer and has conducted public workshops on parenting. She also sees private clients from
local and international schools with academic and behavior problems. Debbie has also conducted many in-house parent-
training workshops for local and international schools and agencies.
Her work with couples has included: infidelity, divorce recovery, conflict management, parenting issues, communication issues,
intimacy and sexual issues, infertility and adoption, grief and loss, and trauma.
