Onboarding & Credit Transfer

You have 60 hours of coach training (ICF accredited or not ICF accredited) and you are an experienced coach, but you don’t have an ICF certification.

How can you apply your previous training and meet the requirements for an ICF certification?

Good news! If you meet the qualifications, the Academy can apply up to 30 hours of previous training toward the needed hours for Level One (60 hours) ICF certification.

We can accept partial credit from other coach training programs.

Here are three potential credit transfer pathways:

Onboarding toward ACC Accreditation

If you have completed 60 hours of coach training at another organization, depending on the program’s accreditation and course content, we can apply up to 30 credit hours toward completion of our ICF accredited Level 1 coach training program.

Onboarding toward PCC Accreditation

If you have completed 90 hours of Level 1 coach training through another ICF accredited program, we can apply up to 60 credit hours toward your completion of our ICF accredited Level 2 coach training program. We can onboard you into our Level 2 Program.

Onboarding toward ACTC Accreditation

You must provide documentation of prior coach training, including the organization, number of hours completed, level completed, completion certificates, and contact information for the organization or trainer. You may be asked for additional details or documentation on an as-needed basis. Your request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, as we seek to ensure coverage of ICF and Academy requirements for hours, content, practical, and supervision.
