“This was the best learning experience I have had for decades!!!! The structure of the program was the perfect combination of informed input on what it takes to Do MCC coaching and Be an MCC level coach, while experiencing the psychological safety needed for learning with other senior colleagues. Debbie and Dave’s affiliation with both the ICF and the EMCC attract leaders from around the coaching world to share their personal MCC journeys to enrich our learning. There are a number of alternative ways of learning how to become an MCC coach but none that will be as good at leaving you a better person than when you started the journey.”

“I am delighted to share my experience with the MCC Coaching Training Program led by an exceptional trainer Debbie Hogan. The well-designed structure of the program fostered a deep understanding through coaching reflection, peer sharing and review, enabling me to explore and enhance my MCC coaching skills. One standout feature of the program was the comprehensive review of past successful and failed coaching audio sessions. This practical approach allowed me to listen to effective MCC coaching techniques in action, providing a rich learning experience that brings to real-life application of the ICF competencies.

The personalised guidance by my mentor coach, Dave Hogan, who provided constructive feedback tailored to my coaching style, further contributed to my development as a potential MCC coach. I am grateful for the insights gained and confident that this program has equipped me with the tools and skills needed to excel as an MCC coach. I highly recommend this MCC Coaching Training Program to those aspiring to elevate their practice.”

  • 2,500+ hours of coaching experience
  • Holds, or previously held a PCC Credential

Experience Requirements

Candidates for the MCC Credential must have at least 2,500 hours of coaching experience from the start of their coach-specific education.* Coaches must complete an attestation of this experience as part of the application.

The experience hours must have been with at least 35 clients. Of the 2,500 or more coaching experience hours, at least 2,250 of the hours must be paid.

Mentor Coaching Requirements

Candidates on the MCC Portfolio application path must document at least 10 hours of Mentor Coaching on their application. Mentor Coaching hours submitted with an MCC Credential application cannot be the same Mentor Coaching hours applied toward a previous application for the ACC or PCC Credential. Candidates on the Level 3 application path must have completed Mentor Coaching as part of their Level 3 coaching education program.

MCC application is via the Portfolio Pathway

  • With an accredited program, you do not need to provide documentation and the pathway is quicker and more streamlined. This is the pathway we offer.
  • ICF Accreditation fee: $675 / $825
  • 18 weeks for review

Performance Evaluation Requirements

Candidates for the MCC are required to pass a performance evaluation. This evaluation consists of an ICF Assessor’s review of two recorded coaching sessions with transcripts submitted by the applicant.
