Program Description

  • This course offers live and interactive sessions on Zoom that appeal to an international audience and provide a rich and engaging classroom experience.
  • Participants will review coaching recordings from course mates and offer feedback using the ICF MCC Coaching Competencies. These provide rich learning experiences and usually are the most favorite part of the training experience. Participants are encouraged to record coaching sessions and provide at least one session with a transcript during the course.
  • There will be opportunities for participants to do coaching sessions with other course mates and observers will provide feedback, using the ICF MCC Coaching Competencies. 
  • Some sessions will include reviewing transcripts and recordings from other MCC Coaches who passed the assessment, inviting participants to reflect on their learnings. 
  • There will be opportunities to view interviews from other MCC Coaches on their MCC journey, as well as tips and insights from their experience.

To qualify for the Master Certified Coach with the ICF:

  • 200+ hours of coaching education 
  • 2,500+ hours of coaching experience  
  • Holds, or previously held a PCC Credential 

Experience Requirements

Candidates for the MCC Credential must have at least 2,500 hours of coaching experience from the start of their coach-specific education.* Coaches must complete an attestation of this experience as part of the application. 

The experience hours must have been with at least 35 clients. Of the 2,500 or more coaching experience hours, at least 2,250 of the hours must be paid. 

*For this purpose, ICF defines the start of coach-specific education as any course with at least 30 hours of which at least 24 hours are in ICF Core Competencies instruction.

Mentor Coaching Requirements

Candidates on the MCC Portfolio application path must document at least 10 hours of Mentor Coaching on their application. Mentor Coaching hours submitted with an MCC Credential application cannot be the same Mentor Coaching hours applied toward a previous application for the ACC or PCC Credential. Candidates on the Level 3 application path must have completed Mentor Coaching as part of their Level 3 coaching education program.

The Mentor Coaching hours must occur over a three-month period or longer. Of the 10 hours of mentoring, three hours must be one-on-one. The remaining seven hours may be one-on-one or in a group. 

MCC application is via the Portfolio Pathway

  • With a non-accredited program, you must provide robust documentation that it meets the ICF standards
  • With an accredited program, you do not need to provide documentation and the pathway is quicker and more streamlined. This is the pathway we offer.
  • ICF Accreditation fee: $675 / $825
  • 18 weeks for review

Performance Evaluation Requirements

Candidates for the MCC are required to pass a performance evaluation. This evaluation consists of an ICF Assessor’s review of two recorded coaching sessions with transcripts submitted by the applicant.  

The coaching session must be with a regular client who has hired you as a coach and not in any other capacity and must last between 20-60 minutes.  

About the Trainers

Debbie Hogan, BS, MS, MSFC, ICF MCC, EMCC MP, EMCC ESIA

Debbie has been a psychotherapist, coach, trainer and supervisor for more than 30 years. In private practice, she is a marriage and family therapist and works within a wide spectrum of psychiatric and psychological issues with children and adults. Her first 7 years were in psychiatric mental health in the US. She continues to be in Private Practice, and provides individual, couple and youth counselling. Debbie has a BS in Psychology, a MS in Counselling and an Advanced Certificate in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy. She is a Master Clinical Member and Registered Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Association of Counselling.

As an executive and life coach, Debbie has coached leaders and executives in the public and private sector, in banking, IT, oil and gas, business owners, entrepreneurs and millennials. She has worked extensively with multi-national companies in conducting workshops, providing counselling and coaching. Some of her clients have included, GE, Union Carbide, Caltex, Boeing, Standard Charter Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Comcast/NBC Universal, Dupont, Amazon, Apple, Boston Scientific Corporation, CGG, Micron Technology, Smith & Nephew, Oracle, Trisula and Lifestyle Retreats as well as educational institutions, such as University of Singapore, Nanyang Polytechnic, ITE West, Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore Management University, and many international schools, including Singapore American School, United World College of Southeast Asia, Chatsworth International School, Tanglin Trust School and Nexus International School.

Debbie is a Master Certified Coach with the ICF, having coached over 2500 hours. She served on the Board of ICF Singapore Chapter as VP and Director of Membership from 2019 – 2021. She is a Master Practitioner (comparable to MCC) and Accredited Mentor and Supervisor with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. Debbie is a Registered Mentor Coach and PCC trained Assessor with the ICF. Her ICF accredited coach training school is accredited at Level 1 ACC, Level 2 PCC and Level 3 MCC. She has trained, supervised, and mentored hundreds of coaches globally.

Debbie has contributed to and has been co-editor of six books, including Solution Focused Practice in Asia and Solution Focused Practice Around the World. Her current book projects include, Solution Focused Coaching in Asia and Solution Focused Coaching Supervision, to be published in 2024. 

Debbie and her team of associates and partners collaborate to bring the best quality training and support to the growing network of Solution Focused Practitioners across Asia, Europe, and the USA. 

Dave Hogan, MTh, MSFC, ICF MCC, EMCC ITCA, EMCC-SP, EMCC ESIA,Singapore, USA

Dave has over 26 years experience as a consultant, trainer and coach. He has degrees in French, Theology and Counseling and specializes in coaching, training, mentoring and leadership development. He conducts training for organizations in team building, leadership development, career and transition development. Dave has worked with many local and multi-national companies as a counselor, coach and trainer. Some of his clients include Singapore Management University, Singapore Institute of Technology, ITE West, Proctor & Gamble, Katoen Natie, Oracle, Pepperdine University, Singapore American School, Chatsworth International School, Tanglin Trust School, United World College of Southeast Asia, Center for Fathering, GO ED Study Abraod, and many local schools based in Singapore. 

As an executive coach, he works with CEOs, top level managers and leaders in local and multi-national companies. Dave is a Certified Solution Focused Coach with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC), Master Solution Focused Coach with the International Alliance of Solution Focused Teaching Institutes (IASTI), and Master Certified Coach, the highlest level credential with the International Coach Federation, having coached over 2500 hours. Dave is Singapore Chapter President of Solutions Focused in Organisations (SFiO) and actively involved in the development of Solution Focused Practice in organsations. Dave is the Director of the Academy of Solution Focused Training and has been training and certifying coaches across Asia with the CCPC and IASTI since 2004. In 2016, his coach training was accredited with the ICF at Level 1 ACC, Level 2 PCC and Level 3 MCC.  

Dave is co-editor of Solution Focused Practice in Asia with Debbie Hogan, Jane Tuomola. and Alan Yeo and has contributed to numerous professional publications and book chapters, including Solution Focused Coaching in Asia and Solution Focused Coaching Supervision. He has been interviewed on the radio numerous times related to his work with the Centre for Fathering and youth work. Dave is also a mentor, trainer and coach, involved in laurent@authenticchoices.coyouth leadership and executive leadership development.
