Program Description

  • This course offers live, interactive Zoom sessions that cater to a global audience, providing a dynamic and immersive learning experience.
  • Sessions will include reviewing recordings and transcripts from MCC Coaches who have successfully passed the ICF assessment, allowing participants to reflect on their own development.
  • To deepen the learning, the course features exclusive interviews with experienced MCC Coaches, who will share insights from their personal journeys and offer valuable tips for advancing to MCC-level coaching.
  • Participants will engage in reviewing coaching recordings from their peers, offering constructive feedback through the lens of the ICF MCC Coaching Competencies. These peer review sessions are often highlighted as the most impactful and enjoyable aspect of the program.
  • Additionally, there will be opportunities for live coaching exchanges with fellow participants, with observers providing feedback based on MCC competencies.

To qualify for ICF Master Certified Coach

  • 200 hours of coaching education 
  • 2,500 hours of coaching experience  
  • Holds or previously held a PCC Credential 

Experience Requirements

Candidates for the MCC Credential must have at least 2,500 hours of coaching experience from the start of their coach-specific education.* Coaches must complete an attestation of this experience as part of the application. 

The experience hours must have been with at least 35 clients. Of the 2,500 or more coaching experience hours, at least 2,250 of the hours must be paid. 

*For this purpose, ICF defines the start of coach-specific education as any course with at least 30 hours of which at least 24 hours are in ICF Core Competencies instruction.

Mentor Coaching Requirements

Candidates on the MCC Portfolio application path must document at least 10 hours of Mentor Coaching on their application. Mentor Coaching hours submitted with an MCC Credential application cannot be the same Mentor Coaching hours applied toward a previous application for the ACC or PCC Credential. Candidates on the Level 3 application path must have completed Mentor Coaching as part of their Level 3 coaching education program.

MCC application is via the Portfolio Pathway

  • With a non-accredited program, you must provide robust documentation that it meets the ICF standards
  • With an accredited program, you do not need to provide documentation and the pathway is quicker and more streamlined. This is the pathway we offer.
  • ICF Accreditation fee: $675 / $825
  • 18 weeks for review

Performance Evaluation Requirements

Candidates for the MCC are required to pass a performance evaluation. This evaluation consists of an ICF Assessor’s review of two recorded coaching sessions with transcripts submitted by the applicant.  

The coaching session must be with a regular client who has hired you as a coach and not in any other capacity and must last between 20-60 minutes.  

About the Trainers

Debbie Hogan, BS, MS, MSFC, ICF MCC, ICF ACTC, EMCC MP, EMCC ESIA

Debbie is a Psychotherapist, Executive and Leadership coach, trainer and coach supervisor for more than 30 years.

Debbie is a Master Certified Coach with the ICF and served on the Board of ICF Singapore as VP and Director of Membership from 2019 – 2021. She is a Master Practitioner (comparable to MCC) and Accredited Mentor and Supervisor with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). She is a Registered Mentor Coach and PCC Trained Assessor with the ICF. Her ICF accredited coach training school is accredited at Level 1 ACC, Level 2 PCC and Level 3 MCC. She has trained, supervised, and mentored hundreds of coaches globally.

As a Leadership and Life Coach, Debbie coaches CEOs, leaders and executives in the public and private sector, in banking, IT, oil and gas, business owners, entrepreneurs and millennials. She has worked extensively with multi-national companies in conducting workshops, providing counselling and coaching. Some of her clients have included, GE, Union Carbide, Caltex, Boeing, Standard Charter Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Comcast/NBC Universal, Dupont, Amazon, Apple, Boston Scientific Corporation, Micron Technology, Oracle, as well as educational institutions, such as University of Singapore, Nanyang Polytechnic, ITE West, Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore Management University, and international schools, including Singapore American School, United World College of Southeast Asia and Tanglin Trust School.

Debbie has contributed to and has been co-editor of six books, including Solution Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Practice in Asia, Solution Focused Practice Around the World, Solution Focused Coaching in Asia and Solution Focused Coaching Supervision.

Dave Hogan, MTh, MSFC, ICF MCC, EMCC ITCA, EMCC SP, EMCC ESIA

Dave has over 30 years experience as a consultant, trainer and coach. He has degrees in French, Theology and Counseling and specializes in coaching, training, mentoring and leadership development. He provides Team Coaching, Leadership Development, Career and Transition Management. Dave has worked with many local and multi-national companies as a counselor, coach and trainer. Some of his clients include Singapore Management University, Singapore Institute of Technology, ITE West, Proctor & Gamble, Katoen Natie, Oracle, Pepperdine University, Singapore American School, Chatsworth International School, Tanglin Trust School, United World College of Southeast Asia, Center for Fathering, and GO ED Study Abroad.

As an executive coach, he works with CEOs, top level managers and leaders in local and multi-national companies. Dave is a Master Certified Coach with the ICF, Certified Solution Focused Coach with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC), Master Solution Focused Coach with the International Alliance of Solution Focused Teaching Institutes (IASTI), Dave is Singapore Chapter President of Solutions Focused in Organisations (SFiO) and actively involved in the development of Solution Focused Practice in organsations. He has been training and certifying coaches across Asia with the CCPC and IASTI since 2004. In 2016, his coach training was accredited with the ICF at Level 1 ACC, Level 2 PCC and Level 3 MCC.  

Dave is co-editor of Solution Focused Practice in Asia with Debbie Hogan, Jane Tuomola. and Alan Yeo and has contributed to numerous professional publications and book chapters, including Solution Focused Coaching in Asia and Solution Focused Coaching Supervision. He has been interviewed on the radio related to his work with the Centre for Fathering. As a mentor, coach and trainer, he is committed to youth and leadership development.
